QLI Safety Bars

The QLI Safety Bars (QSB49) are a pair of steel bars that fit a rack or multi-function product to hold the barbell during heavy training. They let lifters train squats and presses with a reliable catch in place.

They attach at different heights through the holes on the rack, so each lifter can set them just below the bottom of the lift. Support plates on the surface soften contact when the bar comes down, and the steel construction has a large bearing capacity. QLI rates them to 2,200 lb (1,000 kg) per pair.
